Dr. Ariel O. Otero-Rodriguez
Dr. Ariel O. Otero-Rodriguez is a Board-Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Puerto Rico in San Juan, Puerto Rico with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. He continued his educational journey at the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences Campus, obtaining the degree of Doctor in Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) by graduating at the top of his class. He was awarded the Certificate of Achievement in Recognition of Scholastic Excellence at the School of Dental Medicine and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) National Dental Honor Society.
Dr. Otero’s pursuit of excellence led him to New York City, where he completed a one-year residency in General Dental Practice at New York Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell. This experience set the stage for his four-year residency program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at University of Puerto Rico, School of Dental Medicine, including a chief resident year.
He has been well-trained in the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery procedures, providing care for wisdom teeth, surgical dental extractions, dental implants, corrective jaw surgery, facial trauma, TMJ disorders, general anesthesia, intravenous sedation, bone grafting, pre-prosthetic surgery, oral pathology and cleft lip and palate. He is actively involved both in his profession and in the community.
Dr. Otero is currently an Associate Professor in the Dental Department at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, where he is actively involved in resident training and education in Dentistry and Oral Surgery department.
He is fluent in both English and Spanish.
